As previously reported, Atlanta metal masters Mastodon are gearing up to release Once More 'Round the Sun, their first full-length since 2011's The Hunter. Now, more details have been released about the record.
A newly shared tracklisting reveals that the album will include 11 tracks. As previously reported, 15 were recorded during the album's sessions. The LP was produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who has previously worked with Alice in Chains and Deftones.
"A lot of people ask us if it kicks off where The Hunter left off. And to a large degree, I suppose yes," the band's Troy Sanders told Paste earlier this month. "We recorded it and took it on the road with us, and then we headed back to our rehearsal space and started working out ideas. I've had a lot of time to ingest this record, and it's solid. It's a large slab of granite. I'm once again completely proud of these guys."
Once More 'Round the Sun will be available on June 24 via Reprise. The album's previously released single "High Road" is available below, along with the full tracklisting, while its colourful artwork is available above.
The band also have a North American tour in the works, with one previously announced Canadian date taking place in Toronto on May 10. Check out the full itinerary below.
