Well, this Record Store Day is going to be extra special for all those Mastodon fans out there. Not only are the Georgian metal heroes set to deliver that split single with Feist, but the band will be covering the Flaming Lips on another.

According to Pitchfork, this RSD on April 21 Mastodon will indeed release a limited-edition seven-inch featuring the group covering "A Commotion" from Feist's 2011 album Metals, while the Canadian songwriter will take on Mastodon's "Black Tongue" from the band's The Hunter LP.

As for that Flaming Lips-honouring release, Mastodon will redo the Lips' "A Spoonful Weighs a Ton" from Soft Bulletin on a limited baby pink seven-inch, which will also feature the original version of the song and will be released through Warner Bros.

Of course, there's a whole lot more up for grabs this Record Store Day, and you can check out an increasingly long list of exclusives here.
