While Talib Kweli recently showed us all of his "Lord of the Light" single for the upcoming Catch the Throne: Vol. 2, fellow Game of Thrones lovers Mastodon are only breaking off a slice of what's to come ahead of the March 17 street date. All the same, the 15-second preview sounds promising.
At least judging by the quickie clip, set in a recording studio, this isn't going to be a gates-storming salvo from the Atlanta metal warriors. The tender pluck of acoustic guitars and a lightly rumbled beat support the softly sung, but cautionary line: "hide away your children, then hide away yourselves." Since the band posted the clip with the hashtag "#whitewalkers," we're figuring the track has something to do with those evil creatures beyond the Wall.
