Martha Johnson

"Bye Bye Love" (video)

Canadian singer-songwriter Martha Johnson (of Martha and the Muffins fame) has had a pretty busy year, thanks in part to her new solo album, the aptly titled Solo One, which hit shelves back in June. Now the new wave pioneer has followed up the album's release with another music video, this time in the form of "Bye Bye Love."

Following in the same vein as previous album cut "See Saw Eyes," the clip features Johnson and co. curling up next to a grand piano to perform the decidedly lounge-y track in this mostly acoustic live rendition.

And if that's not intimate enough for you, head on over to Toronto's historic Campbell House Museum on October 17 to watch Martha and her backing band (which includes fellow Muffin man Mark Gane and members of the Wilderness of Manitoba and NEXUS) as they play tracks off her new LP as part of the museum's annual Listening Party concert series.

But first, watch "Bye Bye Love" now in the player below.
