Scotland's Transgressive North is issuing two LPs this month to help support their Everything Is New outreach project, which is raising funds for Dalit 'untouchable' children in southeast India. One such record is Marram's Sun Choir, and you can sample the set's danceable twist on the Icarus myth, "Falling From the Sun," ahead of the January 20 due date.

The song weaves together ambient synths, big horn sections, glimmering electronics and a booming beat beneath a the angelic sounds of the Light of Love Children's Choir and guest vocals from Pulp leader Jarvis Cocker and Margaret Bennett. You can sample the busy slice of pop heaven down below.

Sun Choir also includes guest appearances from Owen Pallett, doseone, White Hinterland and more. Additionally, a compilation called Boats will also arrive January 20, and contains contributions from Four Tet, Dan Deacon, Bear in Heaven, Califone, Deerhoof, El Guincho, Gang Gang Dance, Lucky Dragons, Julian Lynch, Max Tundra, No Age, The Ruby Suns, Rustie, Son Lux, Sun Airway, A Sunny Day in Glasgow, Taken By Trees, Jamie Stewart (Xiu Xiu), YACHT and more.

Proceeds from the project will go to the Scottish Love in Action charity, which "feeds, clothes, houses, educates and provides medical care for over 500 children by funding the Light of Love Home and School in southeast India."
