Maroon 5's Super Bowl LIII halftime show has become something of a punchline, with the Top 40 pop unit reportedly having a hell of time finding someone else to play the event with them. But following reports that "nobody wants to be associated" with the Super Bowl halftime show, there actually turns out someone else does want to partake — rapper Travis Scott.

The news broke this morning, first via TMZ. The report has since been confirmed by multiple online publications, revealing Scott will join Maroon 5 for the Super Bowl LIII halftime show on February 3 at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Apparently, Scott isn't the only hip-hop figure who may play the show either. According to TMZ, Maroon 5 are "in talks" with Cardi B and Big Boi to perform as well.

So far, though, Travis Scott is the only other confirmed performer as of press time.

The last Super Bowl halftime show was performed by Justin Timberlake, while Lady Gaga played the event the year earlier.

As previously reported, Travis Scott extended his North American Astroworld tour earlier this year. You can see the newly updated schedule over here.
