Mark Ronson Working With Amy Winehouse, Elton John and Slash

Super producer and recent busybody Mark Ronson seems to be linked to everyone lately. Besides his production work on usual suspect Lily Allen's upcoming It's Not Me It's You, he's also working with pal Amy Winehouse for a track on an upcoming Quincy Jones tribute album.

But he's also found some new friends to work with. For starters, Ronson has announced that he'll be working with legendary pop superstar Elton John on an upcoming album due at the end of 2009. While details are slim, the producer's golden touch will likely crank out some hits from John.

Then it gets weirder. Ronson has also been linked to Slash's upcoming solo album. That album is also shrouded in secrecy, but Slash has supposedly already demoed 14 songs. It's hard to imagine the hyper-melodic "Sweet Child of Mine" riffs atop Ronson's vintage boom-bap, but time will tell how well it works.
