The "Dear Class of 2020" YouTube video series kicked off this weekend and with it came a special performance of Mariah Carey's "Hero" by the cast of Schitt's Creek — along with a surprise cameo from the hitmaker herself.

The cast — including Dan Levy, Annie Murphy, Catherine O'Hara, Eugene Levy and Noah Reid, among others — performed their virtual rendition of the 1993 track used in a pivotal scene between Reid and Levy's characters in the series.

Midway through the performance, Carey herself actually popped up in the video call to lend her voice to the track.

"Moira, darling, I hope you didn't mind that I jumped in like that," Carey said, addressing O'Hara. "You all sounded so good that I had to get in on it."

A visibly excited Levy at one point, drops to the ground and screams, "I love you!"

Carey also had some words for the grads, saying: "To all the teachers and professors — especially the ones who had to deal with students like me who never really showed up to school on time — you rose to the occasion and helped these students reach the finish line.

"And to the students who had to deal with this bleak moment congratulations on this historic accomplishments."
