Mariah Carey Demanded Stuffed Lambs and All White Roses on Set of 'The House'

"Fucking what is going on with her? It was bananas," said co-star Rob Huebel

This summer, Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler will top line the big-budget comedy The House. The star-studded flick is absolutely packed with recognizable faces, from comedy scene stalwarts to, apparently, Mariah Carey. According to co-star Rob Huebel, however, Mimi's cameo did not come easy.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly on Sirius XM, Huebel said Mariah was as diva-ish as could be while shooting her scene. Apparently her demands included stuffed lambs and all white roses in her dressing room.

Huebel added that Mariah arrived late and refused to sing the song she was supposed to sing. "Fucking what is going on with her? It was bananas," he said.

Further, hoping to relive some of that Glitter spark, Mariah even tried to change the movie's plot.

"So then they were going to do this bit where they shoot her, I think, and they kill her — in the movie," Huebel said. "Not in real life. But she didn't want that. She was like, 'I don't feel like my character would get killed by bullets. What if I deflected them like Wonder Woman?' They were like, 'Mariah, we don't have time for [this]. You're getting paid so much money. We have you for like one day. We don't have time to argue with you. Just do it.' She just didn't want to do what they wanted her to do."

He concluded, "Anyway, why am I talking trash about her?"

Maybe it's because a Rob Huebel/Mariah Carey beef is exactly what pop culture is missing right now!

The House arrives on June 30. Read more about it on our 2017 Summer Screens Guide.
