BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 18, 2011

Last week, we heard the new track "Original Don" from dancehall-inspired duo Major Lazer. Now, the production pair of Diplo and Switch have confirmed that this single is a primer for an EP due out this fall and an upcoming LP.

The EP is called Original Don and it will be out digitally on November 1 via Mad Decent/Interscope. The collection will include the original title track featuring the Partysquad, plus a remix from Italy's Crookers, and other alternate versions of the track.

According to a press release, this EP "acts as a predecessor to one of the most highly anticipated releases of 2012, Major Lazer's follow-up album to the wildly popular full length Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do."

The sophomore disc was recorded at the Geejam resort in Port Antonio, Jamaica. It will "feature more of the duo's futuristic take on an electronic dancehall scene, along with many exciting guest appearances." Major Lazer previously revealed that these guests would include Vampire Weekend, Santigold and Lykke Li.

Expect more details to be announced soon. In the meantime, "Original Don" is below.
