Published Aug 28, 2013Montreal's Majical Cloudz specialize in ultra-sparse instrumentation, but their song "Childhood's End" from this year's Impersonator LP got a slightly denser arrangement courtesy of CFCF, who remixed the track.
The remix sports tinkling gamelan sounds over a swath of cinematic synths, while Devon Welsh's dramatic croon is given an extra dose of reverb. Matador notes that the track includes newly recorded vocals, so it's not a remix in the traditional sense, although the singing sounds more or less the same as the album version.
