Madonna Lashes Out at London Venue After Her Show Gets Cut Short

"The Palladium decided to censor us by pulling down the metal fire curtain"

Madonna is once again making headlines, this time for losing it on a London venue after it cut her show short. She's even going so far as accusing the U.K. venue of "censorship."

Madonna was playing the London Palladium on Wednesday (February 5) when just after the venue's 11 p.m. curfew, it dropped the stage curtain and cut her sound off. As could be expected, Madonna is pretty pissed off about the whole thing, venting a ton of frustration in an Instagram video.

In addition to yells of "Censorship, censorship, motherfucking censorship," Madonna wrote, "It was five minutes past our 11 p.m. curfew, we had one more song to do and The Palladium decided to censor us by pulling down the metal fire curtain that weighs nine tons. Fortunately they stopped it halfway and no one was hurt. Many thanks to the entire audience who did not move and never left us. Power to the people!!"

In a statement to the BBC, a spokesperson for the London Palladium β€” where Madonna is awkwardly in the midst of doing a residency β€” said, "Contrary to a number of reports, at no point during last night's performance did staff at the London Palladium pull down, or attempt to pull down, the Iron Fire Curtain."

Apparently, it was a cloth curtain that came down on Madonna β€” not some one of iron and fire.

On the plus side, at least the show wasn't as boring as Canada apparently is, and no one is suing Madonna over the concert... so far.

You can watch Madonna's fiery Insta video below. Here's hoping the rest of her residency goes a bit smoother.
