Hip-hop extraordinaire Madlib's immense discography continues to expand. In fact, you should make more room in the "M" section of your Expedit, as he's planning yet another vinyl release.
Earlier this year, Madlib dropped the excellent Freddie Gibbs collaboration Piñata. Now, the producer has decided to release a LP of instrumentals.
Simply titled Piñata Beats, the release will offer all of the instrumentals from the album. For a sample, check out the instrumental version of "Real" below. Madlib's production really shines through when you're not quite as focused on Gibbs' many Jeezy barbs.
Piñata Beats will arrive digitally on June 3, with the vinyl dropping on June 17, via Madlib Invazion. The artist is also planning to release his score from the Stones Throw documentary Our Vinyl Weighs a Ton this summer.
