Mad Professor Announces North American Dates, Plays Vancouver
Today (October 1), dub production guru Mad Professor (a.k.a. Neil Fraser) is toasting his Ariwa record label with the release of the A Ruff Guide to Ariwa Sounds, and he'll keep the party going later this month on a North American tour.

A press release notes that the UK-based producer flies overseas at the end of the month, starting off his "The Roots of Dubstep" tour in Burlington, VT. While pretty well all of Mad Professor's dates take place beneath the U.S./Canada border, he will be up north for a stop at Vancouver's Fortune Sound Club on November 7. You'll find the rest of the show details down below.

As for A Ruff Guide To Ariwa Sounds, the compilation comprises tracks from throughout Ariwa Sounds' history and features dub cuts from Mad Professor, Joe Ariwa, General Levy, Lee "Scratch" Perry and more. You can stream Mad Professor's own "Medusa's Tail," originally issued on his Schizophrenic LP from 1986, in the player beneath the tour dates.
