As previously reported, Machine Head had to cancel their fall tour to put the finishing touches on their Bloodstone & Diamonds LP. With the album having officially hit stores yesterday (November 10), the Oakland metal unit have unveiled a schedule of make-up dates.
The trip kicks off in the middle of January in Arizona, but the band will make it up into Canada for a series of shows, with up North appearances booked in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg. While the fall tour would have featured dates with Children of Bodom, Battlecross and Epica, it's been confirmed that the rebooked dates have Machine Head going it alone and performing extended sets.
"We're doing 'An Evening With' Machine Head. Meaning: it'll just be us, folks," guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn said in a statement. "We are really excited about the idea, playing longer sets, throwing in some deep cuts, and just having our own world. Promoters in the US seem really stoked about it, some have said it feels like 'an event'."
