Last year, Mac DeMarco guitarist Peter Sagar released a nine-song tape under the name Homeshake, and as Mac continues his rise in the music industry, Sagar is also pushing ahead. Homeshake's next release is In the Shower, which will be out on October 7 through Sinderlyn.
The Edmonton-born guitarist recorded the album this past winter at the Drones Club in his current home base of Montreal. It was made with his buddy Mike Wright.
The results are described in a press release as "smooth, cool and relaxed" — adjectively that could easily be used to describe DeMarco's music also — with plenty of "smooth bass lines and groovy, jazz undertones."
