Known best for manning the kit for Mac DeMarco and Walter TV, Los Angeles-band musician Joe McMurray is set to step out from behind his drums to helm a new electronic solo project.
Simply going under the name of ~j~, McMurray's first album of "sometimes lo-fi ambient" compositions comes in the form of Will2Change, released through Leaving Records. Clocking in at 24 minutes and 42 seconds, the six-track release saw the drummer write using "his iPad, laptop, and whatever other gear may be laying around."
