Tomorrow (April 16) sees the release of Mac DeMarco's Another (Demo) One rarities LP, but the Pepperoni Playboy is giving fans some goods ahead of Record Store Day too. A long sought-after single called "Rollin Like a Dummy" has made its way online.
A Reddit post from the Duncan, BC-born tunesmith notes that "everybody's always asking for a recording of this song," so he's posted a demo of the sweetly swayed piece. It was recorded onto a 4-track while he was demoing his 2.
He adds: "I did a final version but it never made it out of tape land and onto the computer, maybe I'll find it someday."
The piece is pure DeMarco, coming together with watery leads, smoothed-out pacing and extra relaxed vocals. You can download the finally loosened track over here.
