Earlier this year, M.I.A. launched her own Patreon profile to release new work and become a "truth dispenser." Now, she's giving us a peek behind the paywall with a new single titled "OHMNI202091."
In celebration of her debut 2005 album Arular, the artist shared the new single on the day of its 15th anniversary. Yesterday (March 22), she announced the MUNCHI-co-produced song on Twitter, writing, "Free music to get you the fuck up outta bed! Here's the beginning. New M.I.A. M.I.A W2020 4 COV19."
M.I.A.'s last record was 2016's A.I.M. So far, it is unclear if she plans to release a new album through Patreon or if this single will act as a one-off.
