Just two days ahead of the release of M.I.A.'s AIM , the artist has revealed yet another audio preview. This time, she's streaming an updated version of her "Foreign Friend."
As previously reported, the song had been delivered back in March, though it's been tweaked into a different direction for the upcoming album release. The final version has been slowed-down significantly to focus on hard slapped digi-snares and icy synth patterns. Above this, M.I.A. rolls off a mix of melodic lines about sticking close to your friends, while Dexta Daps adds some extra-melodic vocals of his own.
The new edition of "Foreign Friend," which was premiered through Zane Lowe's Beats 1 program, can be heard below. AIM hits stores September 9.
