The madness of this year's Pop Montreal has died down, but the excitement for M for Montreal is just getting started. For the fifth straight year, the organizers will be hosting a fall music showcase, which will take place from November 17 to 20.
A total of 19 Canadian bands will appear, with performances spread across three separate nights of music. Following an industry panel on the Wednesday (November 17), the music will kick off on Thursday (November 18) at Cabaret and Studio Juste Pour Rire. For the purposed of full disclosure, this night will be co-presented by Exclaim!, and feature such buzz-worthy acts as PS I Love You, Elephant Stone and AIDS Wolf.
The Friday (November 19) night shows will take place at the same venues, with performances from Suuns, Valleys, Random Recipe and more. The showcase series rounds out on Saturday (November 20) afternoon with a Francophone show at Café Campus/Petit Campus featuring Monogrenade and Geneviève Toupin, among others.
Other M for Montreal events including a cocktail party, industry panels and an after-party. Tickets for some events can be bought now at Admission.com, and three-day passes will also be available.
