A few months on from explaining that the making of the record was complete, Anthony Gonzalez's M83 have formally announced their next LP lands next month. Titled Junk, it will be hucked into retailers on April 8 via Mute.
The album will mark M83's first studio full-length since 2011's Hurry Up, We're Dreaming. At this point, however, neither the tracklisting nor album art has popped up through official channels.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly last year, Gonzalez had said that the upcoming new album was a "very strong album with a lot of eclecticism," adding: "a lot of different genres that are not supposed to live together but I tried to make them live together."
The record is also said to have been inspired in part by '80s-era television shows, including Punky Brewster and Who's the Boss.
As previously reported, M83 takes off on tour early next month, with the act scheduled to hit Calgary and Edmonton. M83 had gone online earlier this year in search of a new, female keyboard player.
