After a year of insanity, which involved, among other things, dueting with Q-Tip and Kanye West and Santigold, we're surprised that Swedish pop sensation (and notable fashionista) Lykke Li still has no plans for a break. Her nine-day North American summer tour, which began this weekend at the Osheaga festival in Montreal, is in the midsts of making another round of stops in Canada and the U.S., finishing at the Sound Academy in Toronto on Sunday (August 9).
If you're wondering when to expect a follow-up to the songstress's debut LP, Youth Novels, she's staying tight-lipped, although a Li blog post on July 1 confirms that she is in fact creating new music.
"I'm actually writing some well needed lyrics and thinking, thinking, thinking of the next step," Li writes. "All very mysterious and secret still..."
She also requested on her blog that fans bring David Lynch to her show in L.A. tonight (August 4), suggesting that in the future, Li may hope to add more titles than just "musician" to her repertoire.
