Lupe Fiasco

"Jonylah Forever"

Lupe Fiasco's new tune "Jonylah Forever" comes from tragedy and is sent out to Jonylah Watkins, a six-month-old girl who died after being shot multiple times on Monday (March 11) while her father was changing her diaper in a car.

The song threads an old-school boom bap and muted, moody piano plunks around Fiasco's lines about the effects of urban violence and a doctor's attempt to save the shooting victims.

"She lives as long as we do," he wrote of Jonylah on his SoundCloud page. "She will live forever. God bless your soul and the family you left behind. We Love You." You can stream the song down below.
