Lullabye Arkestra, Glissandro 70 Celebrate Wavelength's 8th Anniversary

BY Scott A. GrayPublished Jan 30, 2008

Toronto's beloved independent music series, Wavelength, will celebrate its eighth anniversary and 400th edition in February with four days of shows featuring some of the city's extraordinary local talent. Among the more recognisable names participating in the festival are Constellation artists like Lullabye Arkestra and Glissandro 70, who'll be doing a DJ set (along with Exclaim!'s own DJ David Dacks).

Telefauna, Femme Generation, Sister Suvi, Bocce, Huckleberry Friends, Bruce Peninsula and an act listed as TT/BB/AAAA (who I'm willing to bet are the twitchy post-punksters DD/MM/YYYY *suspicion confirmed - see below) are among the other groups scheduled to perform.

In addition to its regular home at Sneaky Dee's, Wavelength's birthday festivities will spread to the Music Gallery, the Gladstone Hotel and the Theatre Centre. Projections accompanying most of the shows will be provided be General Chaos Visuals, and on Sunday, February 17, the Music Gallery will host a "Wavelength Unconference" from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
