Published Aug 15, 2016Loveovernite! is the project of 19-year-old singer-songwriter Kai Salmon, who has been churning out emo-tinged acoustic tunes since 2012. He's gearing up to release a new record titled Don't Fall in Love, It's a Trap this fall, and Exclaim! is bringing you the premiere of the video for "Floating Bones, Sinking Hearts (II)" from the upcoming effort.
The accompanying clip finds Salmon roping in some directorial help from his friend Evan Hill, and the resulting footage captures the singer amidst a scenic forest, trying to navigate his way out of the trees.
"This was the first project that I called on someone else to do with me," Salmon tells Exclaim! "Most of my other videos have been super DIY and very simple, but I really wanted this song and video to hit. I ended up filming it with my buddy Evan Hill at a park in the middle of nowhere in just under three hours and I'm super happy with how it turned out."
