Published Jul 01, 2013Last month, Velvet Underground singer and all-around rock legend Lou Reed was hospitalized with an emergency liver transplant. As if that weren't enough cause for concern, the 71-year-old musician was hospitalized again over the weekend.
Details are scarce, but the NY Post reported that Reed was rushed from his East Hampton home to a Long Island hospital yesterday morning (June 31) following an emergency call for an adult male suffering from dehydration.
According to a hospital worker in the unit where Reed was treated, "Everything's fine." Reed is reportedly back at home and fully recovered. Here's hoping this is the last we hear about Lou Reed needing emergency hospital treatment for some time.
