Published Jul 08, 2009Just because Dinosaur Jr. are back in full form doesn't mean bassist Lou Barlow can't still dabble in his own work. In fact, the Sebadoh front-man has announced the details for a new solo album.
Titled Goodnight Unknown, the record follows up 2005's Emoh album with a new set of full-band rock songs. In a press release, Barlow called the album "a cross between my later work with Folk Implosion and my earlier work with Sebadoh... to my ears, anyway." The album also includes work from long-time collaborator Imaad Wasif (also of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Zao).
To celebrate the record's relase, Lou Barlow and his live band the Missingmen will be opening for Dinosaur Jr. on their upcoming North American tour, which we announced a little while back. Well, if Barlow's aging body can handle the double duty, that is.
