No Apology

The referent "it" in the phrase "losin' it" is entirely ambiguous, meaning that that to which it refers is never defined. Given the aggression with which the band Losin' It deliver their style of hardcore, it can be deduced that the "it" refers to temper, as it is colloquially understood. On No Apology, the Florida-based band sound like they took Rotting Out's L.A. sound to the streets of NYC. That's a hype comparison to say the band are attempting to put together own their take on established hardcore sounds. Ultimately, the gulf separating Losin' It from their peers isn't huge, but it is enough to push them as alternative listening, rather than a clone that will simply slip through the cracks. Standout tracks "Brainwashed Youth," "Glass Palace" and "No Apology" will hold their own amongst the genre heavyweights, while the inclusion of some less promising numbers suggests Losin' It's best is yet to come.
