Los Campesinos! Announce 'No Blues' LP, Share New Track

BY Alex HudsonPublished Aug 29, 2013

Evidently undeterred by the departure of bassist Ellen Campesinos! late last year, Welsh indie pop ensemble Los Campesinos! have announced a new LP. No Blues is out on October 29 through Heart Swells/Turnstile/Wichita Recordings.

The album was recorded this past June in Bethesda, Wales, with John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Blonde Redhead) and Tom Campesinos! handling production duties.

That's the album cover above and the tracklist below; it includes apparent allusions to the Smiths' "Cementary Gates" ("Cemetery Gaits") and James Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man ("A Portrait of the Trequartista as a Young Man").

Scroll to the bottom of the page to hear the triumphant new track "What Death Leaves Behind."

The album will be available on CD or pink heavyweight vinyl with a poster. Pre-orders will receive a digital copy ahead of the official release date. It's available here.
