For latest EP Debris, Lorn wanted the recording to sound like it was picked out of the wreckage, and without a doubt, it does. Each track has an industrial, mechanical feel created from field recordings, blended with instrumentation and then gutted during production. The four-track EP is bookended by "Inverted" and "Debris," two tracks rife with atmospheric reverb, although the former drops into a brilliant and unexpected cacophony completely discordant from the rest of the track. "On the Ice" emits deep blasts of bellowing synths before breaking down, resembling a tattered soundscape wasteland. Standout track "Bury Your Brother" swells with resplendent percussion — snaps and clicks atop rich chasms opened and torn apart by guttural synths. This track on its own is the perfect example of why Lorn is a voice to be listened to.
