Lords Swords

Joining the likes of Plot to Blow up the Eiffel Tower, this trio of Louisville sluggers are quickly becoming one of the leaders of the new school of dissonant art-core. With a squealing freestyle bombast that recalls the Jesus Lizard in their prime and a vocal shredding of the Blood Brothers all wrapped up in an old school hardcore punk aesthetic, Lords' second full-length is a frenzied collision of sound and fury. Sure there's a certain sameness to the songs here, but they are all kept short enough that they don't become boring or repetitive. (Jade Tree)
