Lorde only just wrapped up her world tour in support of her sophomore LP Melodrama, and she's already offered fans a vague but promising update on her next record.
In a newsletter, Lorde said that "I haven't started properly on the next record yet, and I'm not sure how long it'll be."
But the singer did go on to say that she's been teaching herself to play piano, "and here and there little bits come out."
"I think this next one will probably be born around the piano in my house, me and my friends, keeping it simple," Lorde added. "But we'll see."
Lorde also hinted that she would be unveiling new merch "to celebrate the end" of the Melodrama, but didn't give a specific timeline for its release.
"I'll try drop in from time to time here with a photo or something, let you know that I'm okay," Lorde added, suggesting that she will be taking a break from social media. "But know that for now I'm happy here at home, living quietly and simply, eating toast, going for walks, swimming. And you'll hear all about it soon enough."
