Lorde's highly anticipated sophomore record Melodrama finally drops today, but her music isn't the only thing that's got people talking. The New Zealand singer caused a frenzy on the Internet this week, when sleuths discovered an onion ring reviews Instagram account reportedly run by Lorde herself.
The account — unfortunately dubbed "Onion Rings Worldwide" rather than "Lorde of the Rings" — was promptly deleted, leaving fans of both Lorde and fried food stranded.
Despite the account now being offline, Lorde has now gone on the record and admitted that she was, in fact, the critic responsible for judging the crispy side dishes.
She appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (June 15), and came clean about her food-critiquing hobby. Watch her discuss the whole ordeal below.
Lorde also performed "Perfect Places" from her brand new album, and you can see that performance below, as well.
