Lorde's Pure Heroine came out almost exactly year ago, and fans can now hear the teen pop sensation's latest work thanks to her song "Yellow Flicker Beat" from the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.
The song begins in typical Lorde fashion, as the New Zealander coos smokily over dark, minimal backing. The arrangement explodes just after the one-minute mark, however, as a pounding drum machine propels the soaring chorus skyward.
