Long Winter Announces Final Show of the Season Featuring Cancer Bats, Fiver, Greys

Toronto's "Long Winter" has been in full force over the last few months, and now the Fucked Up-organized concert series has announced the fifth and final volume of its second season.

Taking place on March 7 at the Great Hall, the musical performers for this instalment include Cancer Bats, Fiver, Greys, Pick a Piper, Grounders, Brr, So Young, S.H.I.T., You'll Never Get to Heaven, Ravi Naimpally and JFM.

As always, the night will be a multidisciplinary showcase of artists across a variety of mediums. There will also be DJs, visual art, film, food, dance and various theatrical performances, plus an arcade. The late show Long Night with Vish Khanna will feature house band the Bicycles and guests MP Olivia Chow, Olympic sprinter Donovan Bailey and rapper Maestro Fresh Wes. Exclaim!'s own James Keast will co-host.

The first 350 people through the door at this all-ages, pay-what-you-can gig will receive a split 7-inch single from the Scion Sessions, featuring Cancer Bats' track "Sonic Mind Assault" and JFM's "101 Dimensions."

A press release also announces the Long Winter Sleep Over, which will run "until sunrise, at least" and feature "exclusive performances, music, and breakfast." Write to [email protected] for details.
