Lizzie Weber

"Love Again"

St. Louis, MO-born, Anacortes, WA-based singer-songwriter Lizzie Weber is readying her sophomore album, but before it arrives, Exclaim! has got the exclusive premiere of a brand new track called "Love Again."

Channelling Brian Wilson-esque pop music from the '60s and '70s, the melody-driven piano-pop number gets injected with lush string arrangements. The track was produced by Sheldon Gomberg and features contributions from the Section Quartet, who help Weber achieve a rich, orchestral sound.

"I think we've created something truly unique: a song that defies genre by crossing over into pop, classical, jazz, and indie," Weber tells Exclaim! "After recording it, we realized we had sort of unintentionally written something that evokes the lush, California sound of the '70s, and were thrilled by its picturesque imagery. The song feels acoustic and intimate thanks to Sheldon's touch with production, but epic and worldly with its arrangements — a difficult but really gratifying balance to strike."

Gomberg is currently working with Weber on her forthcoming second album, and you can get a taste of what's to come by listening to "Love Again." Hear it first in the player below, and if you like what you hear, head over to iTunes to purchase the track.
