Liver

'Loyalist'

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 16, 2014

Samuel Sholdice plays drums in Rival Boys, but he also has a punk-leaning band of his own called Liver. They just released a new EP called Loyalist.

The Toronto band features members of Pkew Pkew Pkew, Paradise Animals and Stuck Out Here, while Loyalist was produced by Electric Youth's Mike Rocha. Its four songs sport beefy distortion, gruff vocals and group-hollered refrains.

The band's press materials describe their music as "drunken, triumphant canadian sludge rock from Toronto," and that's certainly an accurate portrayal of Loyalist.
