It's been two years since Montreal singer-songwriter Little Scream issued her The Golden Record LP, but album track "Cannons" has been dusted off and reworked by Toronto production duo Menalon for a new remix.
While the original track laced fuzzy guitars and stop-start rhythms into an art-rock arrangement, Menalon's redo runs smooth with percussive bells, Morse code beeps and a slow-mo electronic beat. They also got Little Scream to revamp her vocals for the remix, and they parallel the lax arrangement with their hushed and haunting nature.
