After teasing their new Nabuma Rubberband a couple of weeks back with a fast-paced, wildly animated album trailer, Swedish pop explorers Little Dragon have now let loose all the details behind their impending LP.
The album arrives in North America May 13 through Loma Vista Recordings and a day earlier overseas via Because Music. The follow-up to 2011's Ritual Union is the band's their fourth full-length, and it features 12 new tracks.
Speaking with BBC DJ Zane Lowe today (February 13), vocalist Yukimi Nagano explained that Nabuma Rubberband features "Some slow jams, some upbeat tracks," adding, "It's hopefully a journey."
The radio show also premiered the album's "Klapp Klapp," whose elastic fretless bass runs and snappy snare hits scored the previously revealed trailer. You can sample that and the rest of the track's luscious vocal harmonies and future-leaning pop-soul arrangement down beneath Nabuma Rubberband's tracklisting.
Little Dragon also have a handful of global concert dates coming up, including a stop at Toronto's Canadian Music Week in May. You'll find that info below as well.
