Swedish electro outfit Little Dragon are currently making a name for themselves by touring arenas around the world, opening for the likes of Gorillaz and De La Soul. Starting in 2011, the band will be heading out on their own, booking a North American headlining tour with three Canadian dates in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.
The outing will last a month, running from January into February. It will take the band in a full clockwise circle around North America, beginning in Los Angeles on January 7 and crossing over to the East coast. Then, after a run of shows in the southern U.S., they will wrap up back in California on February 4.
The audiences will be much smaller than the arena shows Little Dragon are used playing with Gorillaz, but these nightclub appearances are bound to be a more intimate experience.
Little Dragon have wrapped up recording their latest album, which is due out sometime in 2011. But so far there is no firm release date.
