In the midst of Pearl Jam's mysterious marketing campaign for their forthcoming record Gigaton, the band have shared a new way to get a sneak peek at another new track "Superblood Wolfmoon."
The band have paired with Universal Music Group and creative studio Powster for another augmented reality experience in launching their latest single. As of right now, you can head to this website on your smartphone to access Pearl Jam's new song. That is, so long as you can find the moon in the sky.
Once you launch the website, your phone screen will ask you to find the moon and point your camera at it. If you can manage to find it, music will play, and you'll have access to the song's pre-order page. If you can't find the moon, you'll just have to wait until the track's official release on February 18.
Powster's CEO said the following about partnering with Pearl Jam for the augmented reality experience:

This activation displays their innovation and creative energy going into their new album. Adapting to new technologies and integrating platforms unleashes the full potential of music, as well as changes the way fans experience new sounds, and we are excited to be teaming up with Pearl Jam to provide their fans with this exclusive look at their style and artistic direction.
This is the second time this album cycle that Pearl Jam have used an augmented reality experience to promote the record. The band initially announced Gigaton via a global augmented reality campaign that had us on a goose chase.
As previously reported, Gigaton will arrive on March 27 via Monkeywrench/Republic. It marks the follow-up to 2013's Lightning Bolt. Pearl Jam will also take the new music out on a world tour later this year.
So far, we've heard only the record's "Dance of the Clairvoyants," though we did get three videos for it.
