Montreal's Islands are not well known for their stylistic consistency. Dabbling in everything from power pop to artsy, discordant rock, they've established themselves as a band fuelled not by narcissism, but by creativity. They're "mellifluous" yet artistic - accessible yet inaccessible. And they're set to build on that polymorphous pop aesthetic with their their upcoming album Vapours, which is now exclusively streaming at Exclaim.ca.

To hear the entire album now, all you have to do is click here.

Officially due out on September 22 via Anti-, this follow-up to last year's Arm's Way was produced by front-man Nick Thorburn, along with Yeah Yeah Yeahs/TV on the Radio boardsman Chris Coady. It was sequenced and mastered at New York City's esteemed Sterling Sound, and also marks the return of drummer and former Unicorn Jamie Thompson, who was on Islands' 2006 debut Return to the Sea but absent from their last effort.

We previously featured the Vapours appetizer "No You Don't" in our Click Hear, but now the full course is up for your streaming pleasure, though only until September 21. So act quick and dig in.
