Vancouver's psychedelic rock quintet Black Mountain are dropping their third album next week after a two-year break since 2008's In the Future. But if you don't want to wait, you're in luck: we'll be streaming the record all week here on Exclaim.ca.

You can listen to Wilderness Heart in its entirety here. The album is officially due out September 14 via Outside Music in Canada and Jagjaguwar in the U.S.

According to the press release, Wilderness Heart is the band's "most metal and most folk oriented record so far. It's a Black Mountain pop record, which is to say it's nothing like pop at all."

If that's not a sufficient description, frontman Stephen McBean recently summed up the album in an interview with Exclaim!, simply saying Wilderness Heart is "more vocally-focused than riff-focused."

Wilderness Heart was recorded partly at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, WA with producer Randall Dunn (Boris, Sunn O))), Kinski) and mostly in Los Angeles, CA at Sunset Sound in Hollywood with producer Dave Sardy (Oasis, Wolfmother, LCD Soundsystem).

In addition to the new record, Black Mountain also hit the road on a headlining tour at the end of October with Black Angels and make Canadian stops in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. See the full list of tour dates here.

Wilderness Heart will be streaming on Exclaim.ca until September 13.
