Published Jun 23, 2011As you may have already realized due to the steady stream of recent singles, Beyoncé has a new album coming out. Serving as the follow-up to her 2008 effort, I Am... Sasha Fierce, the new full-length is appropriately called 4, so titled because it's her fourth solo album, not to mention the fact that she was born on September 4 and got married on April 4.
The disc officially drops next Tuesday (June 28) via Columbia, but if you live in Canada, you can preview it right now on Exclaim.ca. Head over to our Click Hear section to stream the entire album here.
Beyoncé promises that this record will be more diverse than her past pop- and soul-leaning works. A press release describes it as "a mixed musical gumbo," and you'll hear the singer dip her toes into everything, from club bangers to funk and even percussion-heavy world beat.
Of course, Beyoncé isn't solely responsible for the mix of influences found on 4. There are also contributions from talented folks like Kanye West, Andre 3000, The-Dream, Major Lazer, Tricky, Babyface, OFWGKTA member Frank Ocean and more.
