The urbane, NYC-based duo known as Lion Babe offer up a breezy R&B mixtape just in time for summer.

With Jillian Hervey's Badu-esque vocal styling and Lucas Goodman's (a.k.a. Astro Raw) electronic soul production, Lion Babe build on the overlooked effort that was this year's Begin long-player with a 11-track effort that aims to go down easy.

Single "Endless Summer" sets the vibrant mood, dabbling in Latin soul and rhythms. "Still in Love" nicely reworks/updates the Alton Ellis reggae classic, "Tina Turner" is as fierce as its namesake, "Rain Drums" smashes hard with '90s era boom-bap and the faraway soul of "Jungle Lady" gets not one but two remixes, assisted by respective appearances by Raury and Angel Haze.

Lion Babe operate at the intersection of R&B and electronic; Sun Joint is yet another reason to swing their way as the hot weather hits.
