Add one part Parisienne chanteuse with a dollop of stylin’ ’60s lounge and down a handful of peyote buttons to bring on the hypnotic fugues akin to the work of David Lynch composer Angelo Badalamenti, and you’re getting close to Lily Frost’s sexy appeal. She played with a three-piece string section, a sunglass-sporting backing singer bringing the "ah, ah, ahs” and the "la, la, las,” and on guitar, her husband, By Divine Right maestro Jose Contreras. As the songs veered from bossa nova to haunting gothic ballads, she connected it all with witty between-song banter.
