Lily Frost

The sexy Vancouver singer celebrated the release of her new disc, Cine-Magique, during this sultry mid-week show with a few friends in tow, including a three-piece string section, a ’60s French film star look-alike back-up singer, a keyboardist and hubby/guitarist Jose Miguel Contreras of By Divine Right. Frost plied her trade of Parisian melodies, bossa nova rhythms and songs of love and the act of falling in love. Unfortunately, a lush and dreamlike set list didn’t go over as well as it should have with the semi-drunk audience, but songs such as "Enchantment” and the ’50s girl group-esque "Priscilla” won the crowd’s attention.
