Lil Yachty already graced us with the excellent "Shoot Out the Roof" video today, but the hip-hop game-changer continues to stack wins. This year looks to be even bigger for the artist, who has just revealed a new role at an iconic fashion company.
The Lil Boat hitmaker will bring his love of normcore fashions and nautical themes to the '90s clothing brand Nautica, who have officially signed him on as a brand creative designer.
This won't be the first time Yachty has worked with the yacht-loving clothing company. Last year, he teamed up with Nautica for an Urban Outfitters collaboration (pictured above). Now, he's taking on a bigger role at the company, where he'll develop a capsule collection and appear in ads.
"We are excited to be collaborating with Lil Yachty this year," said Karen Murray, president of Nautica, said in a press release. "He is much more than just a music artist, he is a creative soul. His innate passion and affinity for the brand, fabulous taste level and the way he looks in our clothes, make him the perfect partner for the Nautica brand."
Lil Yachty added, "Nautica is like a part of me. It's for kids, sailors, grown men, and cool people. The designs - the old designs, the new designs, I think it's dope. There's not really much out there like Nautica."
