At 19, Lil Yachty is truly the king of teens. Of course, that means he doesn't give a shit about hip-hop's old guard. Having already pissed off Pete Rock earlier this year, the trolling rap superstar has sent another corner of the rap world into a tizzy.
Yachty and his cohort the Good Perry (formerly Burberry Perry) recently stopped by Pitchfork's offices to complete an edition of their "Over/Under" web series. The series asks guests to rate a variety of subjects as either overrated or underrated.
When asked about the Notorious B.I.G., Yachty adopted a shit-eating grin before saying "overrated." Lest you think he was joking, he later took off his sunglasses and repeated the word straight into the camera.
The Good Perry was a little more diplomatic, though he also admittedly doesn't give a shit about the late rap legend. "I don't know," he said, throwing his hands up in the air. "I'm not going to say I've never listened — I've like, heard his stuff in movies and stuff. I grew up very sheltered."
Watch the week's most controversial hip-hop video below. Other topics discussed include Tom Hanks, 50 Shades of Grey and music piracy.
